HRE Sparrows Point LLC as part of a JV operation closed on the purchase of the former RG Steel Sparrows Point Facility in September 2012. MCM was contracted to perform all above grade environmental, demolition, recycling and site management activities. MCM mobilized immediately and successfully took control of the 3,100 acre site. Environmental cleaning activities began within five days of closing and will continue through 2016. Site demolition/recycling operations also began concurrently with environmental and will also continue through 2016.
