In July 2011, MCM was the successful bidder to the public-private partnership between the City of Wyoming, MI and Lormax-Stern Thunder Ventures LLC. Thunder Ventures LLC contracted with MCM to perform environmental remediation, demolition and site development activities at the former GM Grand Rapids Metal Center. Environmental cleaning efforts included removal of asbestos abatement, PCB oils, CFC evacuation, light tubes and ballasts and many other non-hazardous wastes. Demolition of the plan commenced in October 2011 and continued through most of 2012.
