About This Project

Harrison Thermal System Facility

MCM completed work on General Motors’ Harrison Thermal System Facility in May 2005. The project’s total size came to 2,000,000 sq feet, with 1,000,000 sq feet being steel structure, and 500,000 sq feet of two story concrete structure. MCM completed all environmental decommissioning including asbestos abatement. All concrete, brick, and block were all recycled, and some materials were reused as backfill materials. There was also general contracting work completed such as weather tight closures, floor slab replacement, and bulkheads for all existing service tunnels which remained on site.
